After a difficult and uncertain 2020, we at Mifa ended 2021 on a much more positive note. Together with customers, colleagues and suppliers, we have found our way to work together in a new way, mostly online. It is good to see that we can work on great new projects and high-quality technologies in different markets.
Responsible production
We notice that more and more customers are ordering machining, assembly and surface treatment from Mifa, in addition to precision extrusion. It's great to have this trust and even more important that together we reduce CO2 emissions because less freight is needed. As a leading aluminium extrusion company, we continuously strive to reduce our ecological footprint.
Internally, we are constantly looking at how we can reduce our own co2 footprint. To keep reducing that footprint, our colleagues are working on an innovative and sustainable working environment. In Q1, we will complete a study into the co2 footprint of aluminium extrusion. This will also include a comparison with other materials such as steel and plastic. Naturally, we will keep you informed.
Turbulent period
Of course, we are still in a turbulent period. The crisis has resulted in major raw material shortages and a shortage of well-trained technical staff. These factors, combined with the growing demand for our precision technologies, have created considerable challenges in production.
In the past year, we have made the necessary adjustments to enable our employees to work in a responsible manner. Several colleagues work at home and in our production everyone works at an appropriate distance to do his job well and safely. Our appreciation for the flexibility and commitment of our team is great. We are working hard to further expand our team in 2022 to increase our output.
We would like to thank you as our customer for the pleasant cooperation over the past year. And we wish you the best for 2022!
