Grand opening of production halls and extrusion press at Mifa

On Friday, July 5, 2019, Mifa officially celebrated the grand opening of the renovated production halls and extrusion press.

Over the past 11 months, tremendous efforts have been made by all our colleagues and partners to minimize the impact of last August’s fire on our customers. The affected production halls from last year have been rebuilt, and the large extrusion press has been restored.

 

New Milestone

Completing the press and the halls is a milestone that deserves to be celebrated. What has been achieved in a relatively short time to quickly restore Mifa to normal operations is unprecedented. We are incredibly proud of this!

Together with employees from Mifa Aluminium and Mifa Surface Treatment, Aalberts, suppliers, and other parties, we celebrated this new milestone on Friday, July 5. During the celebration, Wim Pelsma, CEO of Aalberts, expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed their efforts over the past months to rebuild Mifa as quickly as possible.

Additionally, Mifa’s tremendous work was rewarded with the Relentless Award from Aalberts. We, at Mifa, are incredibly proud of this recognition.

 

Strength of Mifa

Rob van Oene, Managing Director of Mifa, also expressed his gratitude for the strength of Mifa. “July 5 is a special day, a day when Mifa stands as it should. From the first day, I continued to believe that we would emerge stronger from the situation. In fact, looking at these new halls, the press, our customers, and our people, I am sure we have achieved this!” said Rob van Oene.
