Mifa opened its doors for its 50th anniversary!
On November 20, 21, and 22, Mifa Aluminium opened its doors in celebration of its 50th anniversary. For three days, the company reflected on milestones, people, and moments that have shaped Mifa into what it is today. The program featured an exclusive business evening, an inspiring networking afternoon, and a festive open day for colleagues, family, and friends.
Business Dinner: Looking Back and Looking Ahead
The kickoff took place during a private evening for customers – in our own headquarters. Under the guidance of moderator and guest speaker Niels Hermsen (CCO/VP Stichd), the audience was taken along in stories about growth, collaboration, and entrepreneurship at Champions League level. Customers shared their own experiences with Mifa, including the striking words:
‘’Mifa’s profile has made it possible for our satellites to operate in space for more than 200 million hours without any problems.’’
The following morning featured an exclusive masterclass in which colleagues highlighted Mifa’s development over five decades.
Networking event: Connecting and appreciating
On Friday afternoon, Mifa welcomed a wide group of stakeholders: suppliers, partners, representatives of the Municipality of Venlo, the board of Aalberts and, most notably, our founder, Mr. Jan Aalberts. During a guided tour, followed by inspiring speeches from Rob van Oene (Managing Director Mifa Aluminium B.V.) and Stéphane Simonetta (CEO Aalberts N.V.), attention was given to the people who have made Mifa great. As a special tribute, Mifa received a golden award on behalf of Aalberts.

Open house: Bringing technology to life
The anniversary week concluded on Saturday with a grandly organized open day. Around 800 colleagues, family members, and friends experienced up close the unique techniques and precision for which Mifa is renowned. The pride of the employees was clearly palpable. Visitors followed a special route through the company, and playful tech activities were arranged for children.
With a strong turnout and enthusiastic responses, Mifa looks back on an unforgettable celebration of fifty years of entrepreneurship – and forward with confidence to the next milestones.
