Aluminium alloy EN AW 6082
The 6082 alloy is an ideal alloy for slightly more heavily loaded parts, and a replacement for block material (full material) machined parts 51-ST.
The EN AW 6082 alloy is an aluminium alloy known for its high strength and good corrosion resistance. Like other alloys in the 6xxx series, this alloy is primarily composed of aluminium with additions of magnesium and silicon.
One of the key features of the 6082 alloy is its high tensile strength, which can reach up to 310 MPa. The alloy also has good machinability, meaning it can be easily shaped and processed without losing its mechanical properties. Additionally, the alloy is highly weldable; it can be welded using techniques such as TIG and MIG, which we can apply in the finishing department at Mifa.
