New CEO Aalberts visits Mifa Aluminium

On September 19, the new CEO of Aalberts, Stéphane Simonetta, visited Mifa Aluminium in Venlo. The Supervisory Board has appointed Mr. Simonetta as Chief Executive Officer to take over the responsibilities of the former CEO, Wim Pelsma.

Mr. Pelsma concluded his term as a member of the Board of Directors in 2023. We express our sincere appreciation to Wim Pelsma for his remarkable contributions. Under his leadership, Aalberts underwent a substantial transformation and achieved sustainable profitable growth consistently for many years.

Our colleagues had the opportunity to introduce Mr. Simonetta to the core values of Aalberts’ flagship company, an exemplar of the power of precision. We warmly welcome Mr. Simonetta and wish him much success in his leadership role within Aalberts. We look forward to welcoming him more frequently to our dynamic company.

Did you know that Mr. Jan Aalberts founded Mifa in 1975 as a pioneer in this field? At that time, aluminium precision extrusion was virtually unknown in the market, and within a year, Mifa faced almost bankruptcy. But as the saying goes, ‘what does not kill you makes you stronger,’ and this certainly held true for Mifa. Mifa embraced the ethos of continuous improvement and transformed into a comprehensive supplier of profiles and components for various industries.

Now, 48 years later, we design and produce together with our dedicated team of nearly 400 employees over 12,000 different precision profiles and complete components annually, serving more than 1,000 customers. Mifa’s focus has evolved far beyond precision extrusion. In recent years, we have taken significant steps to become a supplier of complete and sustainable solutions for our customers.
